Accommodation at the nearby Captain Logan Camp Ground and Lumley Hill Camp Ground is limited, especially in regards to the number of available powered sites. There is also a no generator rule for these camp grounds. Compounding this availability issue is the QLD School Holidays start on Saturday September 20th. As such ABT has made the following arrangements with SEQWater to overcome this issue.

SEQWater has kindly allowed competitors’ boats to remain onsite at Logan Inlet Day Use Area for the evening of Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th of September. This will allow anglers to charge their electric motor batteries on-site between 3pm to 5pm on Friday (prior to the briefing registration) and between the end of the day one session weigh-in (Saturday) through to 5.30pm. Entry hours for Logan Inlet Day Use Area will remain as standard, opening at 6am and closing at 6pm. When anglers attend the briefing on Friday you are kindly asked to park your vehicles outside the gates and walk to the briefing (headlamps are advised).

All anglers will need to provide their own generators (including fuel), chargers, power cords and power packs to charge the boats batteries or devices. It is the angler’s responsibility to ensure all equipment is safe and working, that it is connected properly and that it is only used during the hours outlined in the previous paragraph.

Importantly the generators used will need to be equipped with a quiet/silent mode, which will reduce the overall noise produced. Finally the numbers of generators operating at any one time will be limited by the collective volume output.

ABT have approval to leave two individuals on-site to monitor the site (these individuals are TBA). These individuals are not responsible in any way for the security of the vessels or any equipment. All other competitors will need to vacate the site overnight (this is a strict condition of this approval.) Whilst all care is taken SEQWater and ABT take no responsibility for any damage, accident, bodily injury (including death) or damage to or destruction or loss of any property arising from or in any way connected with the event and/or the use of the venue.

The 2014 Toray BASS PRO Grand Final sets a precedent in its choice of location and format. It presents an ideal opportunity to represent tournament angling and showcase our sport to a wider audience. Following the guidelines and directions outlined will ensure a smooth, enjoyable tournament for all competitors.

ABT looks forward to crowning our new champions at the 2014 Toray BASS Pro Grand Final!
