SHIMANO RAIDER MEXICAN FIRE
An exciting new addition to Shimano’s comprehensive Raider Mexican Fire rod range for the 2014/15 season is the Cod Raider. As the name suggests, it is tailor-made for chasing Australia’s largest, most iconic freshwater native, the mighty Murray cod.
Available in a choice of either one or two-piece configuration, the Cod Raider has been developed with input from noted Victorian cod specialist, Rod “Codmac” Mackenzie. It is 1.93m in length and can handle a range of lures such as surface plugs, shallow and deep divers, and spinnerbaits from 15 to 40 grams in weight.
The grips are high density cork, with a Fuji reel seat, guides are Sea Guides, and the high performance blank utilises Japanese Toray graphite — a company recognised the world over as the leader in carbon fibre technology.
