On a beautiful ANZAC day morning eight anglers took to the waters of Cania Dam. All anglers found the fishing hard going due to the dirty water caused by rain during the week. Three anglers weighed in fish at the end of session one. The heaviest fish caught on a last cast for the day weighed in at 1.24 kg.
Sunday morning saw the eight anglers hit the water at 6:00 am. Although quite cool the water was a warm 25 degrees. The wind was gusty throughout the morning. Three anglers weighed in fish.
1st Jonathan Bale with a 1.24 kg bass which he caught in session 1.
2nd Rebecca Smith with one bass in session 1 at .400 gm and 1 in session 2 at .710 gm total weight of 1.10 kg.
3rd Sue Barber with 1 bass caught in session 2 weighing 1.0 kg.
4th Robert Butler who weighed in 1 bass in session 2 at .720 gm and
5th Les Smith weighing in 1 bass in session 1 at .620 gm

BIG BASS –Jonathan Bale – 1.24 kg
1st to 5th place anglers caught their bass on either Spinnerbaits or Jackalls using slow roll retrieve.
A great couple of fishing sessions was had by all. Thanks to those who came and thanks to Sue for her help with the event.
