Anglers took off at 6am.  Conditions were calm but did not last long.  The wind picked up within the hour of the start and blew approx 15 to 20 knots all day and did not let off.
Big bass was tied for at 880g each, by Brett and Mitchell Renz.
Mitchell Renz took the win by fishing near the yellow buoy, only a few hundred meters from the star, in fact nearly the entire top 5 came from this spot.  Mitchell used cm 4-10 bass magnum with 6lb Yamamoto braid with 8lb Yamamoto leader.  He used Ecogear blades, vx 40 and vx 45
In natural colours.  Also used Ecogear soft plastics slow rolling near the bouy.  Caught 30 to 40 fish and upgraded about 10 times.
Ian fished the same area as Mitchell, using blades and jackal 65s in gold with the same technique, slow rolling the lures near some timber near the yellow bouy.  Ian used. Daiwa Battler with Zillion reel.  15lb braid, 12 lb leader.
A few lucky draws were given away thanks to Mitre 10 Kingaroy and Yallakool Caravan Park.
