10 Reasons to be excited for the 2016 Costa BREAM Series
The Costa BREAM Series is back to eight rounds in 2016. ABT are stoked about the upcoming series and you should be too! Check back over the next two weeks for daily updates.
There are some bright young stars set to compete in the Costa BREAM Series and we’re forecasting some fine performances from the young guns in 2016. Jesse Rotin won the non-boater title at Mallacoota last year and is shaping up to be one of the hottest young anglers around. Daiwa obviously think so, as they have him on-board to promote their products. James Howarth has been consistent the last few years, with the QLD breamer feeling right at home around man made structure. If he can learn the art of fishing natural structure just as well, watch out for some big success in the near future.
Zac O’Sullivan stepped up in 2015, competed as a boater, and finished strongly in 15th position for the Angler of the Year race. Brad Roberts also stepped up to the front deck in 2015 and ended the year with a 10th in the AOY race.
The growth of these young anglers is testament to the ‘who shares wins’ motto that is part of ABT’s ethos. All of these anglers started their journey on the back of the boat, learning from some of the best anglers in the country under tournament conditions. A day’s tournament fishing is like learning to drive with an instructor; every hour is really worth two.
