Island Inflatables, distributors of ePropulsion electric outboard engines have partnered with ABT to co-name the Bluefin Boats/ePropulsion BASS Electric Series.
Now ePropulsion and Island Inflatables are rolling out numerous new offers to further extend their commitment to the bass electric community, offering a ePropulsion Owner’s Bonus for the remaining rounds of the 2016 BASS Electric series and 2017 series, as well as an upfront 5% discount for anglers wishing to take advantage of the new ePropulsion motors.
Island Inflatables Garry Baikovas is excited to continue supporting what is becoming a fantastic stand alone tournament series, the only one of its kind in Australia. “ePropulsion is the new kid on the block for electric outboards, but they are producing some truly excellent motors” explained Baikovas. “The Spirit 1.0 is a 3hp equivalent motor that’s got an incorporated lithium-ion battery that’s double the size of the competitions”.
As another step forward for BASS Electric anglers, ePropulsion owning anglers competing in ABT BASS Electric events will now be playing for $150 cash bonus at every stop of the tournament calendar. To be eligible, you must own and run an ePropulsion motor on the back of your tournament vessel and nominate at the beginning of the tournament.
Angler’s wishing to take advantage of the 5% discount on ePropulsion engines are encouraged to contact Garry at Island Inflatables.
With more in the pipeline for later 2016, Garry is forecasting some great growth for ePropulsion, as they look to unveil their new 10hp Navy 6.0 motor in late June of this year. “That engine is going to be a game changer for the electric fisherman in Australia” said Baikovas. “The ability to plane a small bass electric style boat will be amazing for guys that want to get the edge on competition”. ABT’s Simon Goldsmith is looking forward to seeing the new engine underway, as the first sample is set to arrive to Island Inflatables in the coming weeks. “I think the Navy 6 is going to get a lot of attention, the Spirit 1.0 is a fantastic unit, but I think the Navy will break new ground for electric only anglers in Australia”.
ABT is busy putting the final touches on what will be an improved BASS Electric calendar for 2017, with more exposure and more opportunities coming to anglers in 2017. With the continued support of Island Inflatables and ePropulsion, BASS Electric anglers have a lot to look forward to in the next 18 months.
